What you'll do

Provide technical consulting and strategic guidance to public sector customers during the pre-sales process.
Deliver executive-level thought leadership on DevSecOps, security, and compliance for high-value government accounts.
Build and maintain relationships with senior leaders including CISOs, CTOs, and chief security architects.
Collaborate with marketing teams to develop content and media engagement opportunities for the public sector market.
Educate customers on the value of the GitLab platform to facilitate successful deployment across various organizational levels.
Respond to requests for information regarding government publications and public-private partnership opportunities.
Participate in government working groups to contribute to industry standards and technical demonstrations.
Translate field feedback into actionable product improvements, sales playbooks, and reusable technical content.

What we're looking for

Demonstrated expertise in DevSecOps strategy, application security, and compliance for regulated environments.
Experience selling to, supporting, or working within the public sector.
Experience creating and delivering technical thought leadership content independently.
Working knowledge of the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including CI/CD and modern engineering practices.
Experience with cloud computing and modern platform architectures that support secure software delivery.
Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills to communicate technical strategy to both executives and engineers.
Experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, solutions architecture, or comparable customer-facing IT roles.
Living in the Washington D.C. Metro area (preferred).
