Solutions Architect Manager, Public Sector

What you'll do

• Lead and manage a team of Solutions Architects through hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Guide technical evaluations to help public sector customers understand how GitLab meets their specific requirements.
• Support high-impact initiatives and strategic sales opportunities within the public sector.
• Improve team execution strategies and internal processes in partnership with cross-functional leadership.
• Track team performance through key indicators and provide regular updates to senior leadership.
• Act as a hands-on Solutions Architect on selected opportunities to model strong customer engagement.
• Align technical solutions with the specific mission needs of regulated public sector organizations.

What we're looking for

• You must be a United States Citizen.
• You must have 3-5 years of experience in the Public Sector.
• You must have 2+ years of experience leading high-performing teams, ideally in a global or remote environment.
• You must have experience leading teams with accountability for execution, coaching, and performance.
• You must have experience in technical pre-sales or a related information technology role supporting customer-facing solution design.
• You must have knowledge of modern software development or operations practices across the software delivery lifecycle.
• You must be familiar with cloud computing technologies and practices that support secure, scalable adoption.
• You must have experience supporting public sector customers in regulated or mission-driven environments.
