Fellow, Server Product Architecture

What you'll do

• Define the end-to-end architecture for EPYC processor-based server products.
• Architect solutions using AMD processors, accelerators, and network components for high-performance computing and data centers.
• Analyze outside-in usage cases to map requirements across silicon, platform hardware, and software.
• Collaborate with internal architects and external customers to define requirements for performance, power balance, and cost.
• Conduct research and development on next-generation server designs to improve system performance.
• Communicate technical results to leadership and engineering counterparts at top technology companies to drive alignment.
• Manage technical details including memory, I/O, signal integrity, power delivery, and thermal management.

What we're looking for

• Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with extensive experience.
• Deep knowledge of product architecture and design including memory, I/O, signal integrity, power, packaging, thermal, and boot processes.
• Proven track record of working with leading technology companies to jointly engineer products based on new SoCs, CPUs, or chipsets.
• Demonstrated server products expertise from architecture through development, design, bring-up, and validation (preferred).
• Detailed understanding of server industry standards such as DDR, PCIe, SATA, and other high-speed IO protocols.
• Proven track record of engineering problem solving and pushing boundaries to deliver innovative products.
• Experience working seamlessly across engineering disciplines and geographies to deliver results (preferred).
• Ability to establish credibility with engineering and leadership counterparts to communicate technical results and drive alignment.
