What you'll do

Oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and service execution of critical mechanical and HVAC infrastructure.
Manage mechanical plant readiness including preventive maintenance, corrective work, inspections, and backlog management.
Serve as the primary site technical lead for mechanical systems and incident escalation.
Manage technicians, contractors, and vendors to ensure safety, quality, and SLA compliance.
Lead troubleshooting and response efforts for mechanical failures or performance degradation affecting uptime.
Track and improve key performance indicators such as equipment availability and mean time to repair.
Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement verified corrective actions.
Maintain audit-ready records including maintenance history, service reports, and CMMS data.

What we're looking for

Must be a U.S. citizen.
5–8 years of experience in mechanical plant operations, HVAC service, or critical cooling maintenance in uptime-critical environments.
1–3+ years of experience leading technicians, maintenance teams, or service providers in live operational environments.
Strong knowledge of chilled water systems, cooling towers, pumps, CRAHs, AHUs, CDUs, and related controls platforms.
Experience managing vendors, maintenance programs, incident response, and service execution in 24x7 operations.
Familiarity with BMS, SCADA, DCIM, and CMMS tools.
Experience supporting commissioning, turnover, or operational acceptance of new or upgraded mechanical systems (preferred).
EPA Section 608 Certification, HVAC trade license, OEM training, or OSHA 30 certification (preferred).
