As Facilities Operations Manager – Mechanical, you will lead the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of mission-critical mechanical systems supporting OCI data centers. Reporting to the Senior Critical Facilities Manager, you will own mechanical plant operations, maintenance execution, vendor performance, and technician leadership. Your daily responsibilities include overseeing the operation and maintenance of chillers, cooling towers, pumps, CRAHs, AHUs, CDUs, fan walls, and associated controls to ensure uptime is protected. You will manage preventive maintenance, corrective work, and incident response while tracking KPIs like equipment availability and mean time to repair. The role requires expertise in chilled water systems, HVAC infrastructure, and tools such as BMS, SCADA, DCIM, and CMMS. You will solve critical reliability issues by managing contractors and technicians within a high-availability environment where continuous uptime is essential for data center operations.

What you'll do

Manage daily operations, maintenance, and service execution for critical mechanical and HVAC infrastructure.
Oversee mechanical plant readiness including preventive maintenance, corrective work, inspections, and backlog management.
Serve as the primary technical lead for mechanical systems and provide decision support during incidents.
Manage technicians, contractors, and vendors to ensure safety, quality of work, and SLA adherence.
Lead troubleshooting and response efforts for mechanical failures or conditions impacting system uptime.
Track and improve key performance indicators such as equipment availability and maintenance completion rates.
Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement verified corrective actions.
Maintain audit-ready records including service reports, maintenance history, and CMMS data.

What we're looking for

5–8 years of experience in mechanical plant operations, HVAC service, critical cooling maintenance, or related uptime-critical environments.
1–3+ years of experience leading technicians, maintenance teams, or service providers in a live operational environment.
Strong knowledge of chilled water systems, cooling towers, pumps, CRAHs, AHUs, CDUs, and related controls platforms.
Experience managing vendors, maintenance programs, incident response, and service execution in 24x7 operations.
Familiarity with BMS, SCADA, DCIM, and CMMS tools.
Experience supporting commissioning, turnover, or operational acceptance of new or upgraded mechanical systems (preferred).
EPA Section 608 Certification, HVAC trade license, or equivalent technical qualification (preferred).
OEM training on cooling systems or OSHA 30 certification (preferred).
