The Experienced Scrum Master/Team Coach joins the Battlespace Simulation Software team to guide multiple software development teams through Agile practices and Scrum framework values. This role involves facilitating meetings, removing impediments, and managing backlog refinement, definition, and prioritization in partnership with Product Owners or technical leads. The individual will track performance metrics using eazyBI, coordinate ceremonies, manage tickets, and drive process improvements across the organization while coaching teams on self-organization and cross-functional skills. Essential tools and technologies include Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Atlassian tools like JIRA and Confluence. Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree, CSM or SAFe Scrum Master certifications, and experience in Agile software development environments. The role specifically addresses the technical challenges of developing simulation software while ensuring consistent delivery schedules through disciplined sprint cycles and proactive problem-solving.
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and manage daily operations for 2–3 software development teams.
Partner with Product Owners to define, refine, and prioritize the product backlog.
Identify and remove impediments to ensure team members can meet iteration delivery schedules.
Track and analyze sprint metrics using tools like eazyBI to drive continuous process improvement.
Coach team members on Agile principles, self-organization, and cross-functional skill development.
Prepare and present status reports regarding team progress and performance to stakeholders.
Lead Community of Practice meetings to drive organizational improvements across the company.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree or higher.
3+ years of experience in a Scrum Master role.
Experience working in an Agile software development methodology environment.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified SAFe Scrum Master.
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Atlassian Tools (JIRA/Confluence).
8+ years of experience on a product development team using Agile/Scrum (preferred).
Experience as a Scrum Master supporting software development teams using DevOps or DevSecOps tools and concepts (preferred).
Advanced Agile certifications such as Agilist, Scrum Master, Advanced Scrum Master, Product Owner/Product Manager, or SAFe Practice Consultant (preferred).
U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain the necessary U.S. Security Clearance.
Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements as a "U.S. Person."
