Scrum Master
As a senior Scrum Master, you will join a technical team to manage the delivery of mission-focused software capabilities throughout the software development lifecycle. You will facilitate essential Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Your role involves partnering with product owners and technical leads to maintain actionable backlogs, establish realistic delivery plans, identify risks, and remove blockers for engineers. You will also coordinate dependencies across infrastructure, cybersecurity, and product teams while coaching members on Agile practices to improve predictability. The role requires proficiency in Jira and Confluence to manage documentation and sprint execution. Candidates must possess a TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph. This position addresses the challenge of translating complex mission requirements into delivered software capabilities within highly regulated environments involving government stakeholders.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Partner with product owners and technical leads to maintain actionable backlogs and establish realistic delivery plans.
Identify, track, and resolve project risks, dependencies, and blockers to ensure smooth software delivery.
Translate complex mission requirements into executable work for software engineering teams.
Establish and maintain a consistent delivery cadence across the software development lifecycle.
Coach team members on Agile practices to improve predictability and overall team effectiveness.
Manage software development activities, documentation, and reporting using Jira and Confluence.
Communicate project progress, challenges, and upcoming decisions clearly to government stakeholders.
What we're looking for
TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business and 7+ years of experience supporting Agile software delivery is required.
11+ years of experience supporting Agile software delivery or programs may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
At least 4 years of experience leading or coordinating software development teams through the software development lifecycle is required.
Experience serving as a Scrum Master, delivery lead, or role supporting software engineering teams is required.
Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and managing backlogs/delivery plans with product owners and technical leads is required.
Experience identifying and managing project risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers is required.
Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for managing development activities and reporting is required.
Experience supporting federal government programs or working in classified environments (preferred).
Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD, cloud delivery, or advanced Agile certifications like CSM, PSM, PMI-ACP, or SAFe (preferred).
