The AVP, Security Architect joins the Information Security team to lead project efforts involving M&As, data, cloud, and on-prem security architectures. Working with Development, Operations, and Enterprise Architecture teams, the architect ensures environments are secured and monitored. Key responsibilities include creating infrastructure and data security designs, supporting M&A integrations, and implementing advanced data protection methods like masking and tokenization. The role requires expertise in security design, detection, and response to threats. Candidates must possess knowledge of ISO27000, OWASP, CSA CCM, CIS 20, SOX, and NIST standards. Preferred technical skills include AWS services like EC2, S3, and IAM, alongside tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, and Ansible. The position focuses on securing scalable web architectures and distributed systems against malware and emerging cyber threats.
Create infrastructure and data security architecture designs using defensible industry standards.
Support M&A integrations by providing guidance on secure design and solution implementation.
Collaborate with architects to secure data using advanced methods like masking and tokenization.
Document and train stakeholders on security requirements for secure solution builds.
Identify cybersecurity weaknesses across various domains and provide actionable risk solutions.
Develop and approve cybersecurity standards while validating that controls are being met.
Analyze potential impacts of new threats and implement solutions to mitigate those risks.
Lead security advisory boards to provide architecture reviews for new and existing solutions.
What we're looking for
6+ years’ experience in information security and IT risk management with prior technical experience in a technical infrastructure or systems role.
2+ years’ experience working on M&A integrations.
5+ years of experience working knowledge of information security controls, guidelines, and standards such as ISO27000, OWASP, CSA CCM, CIS 20, SOX, and NIST.
CCSP/Other Cloud Specific Certification, CISSP and/or GIAC are a plus (preferred).
In-depth knowledge of AWS and its core services, including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, and security-related services (preferred).
Working knowledge of Terraform, Cloud Formation, Pulumi, and/or Ansible (preferred).
Solid experience securing scalable web architectures and distributed systems (preferred).
Solid understanding of malware, emerging threats, attacks, and vulnerability management (preferred).
