What you'll do

  • Perform physical and electrical design of high-frequency CMOS chips and ASIC elements.
  • Implement circuit schematics and verify them against technology design rules.
  • Design, simulate, and layout high-speed SERDES interfaces for microprocessors.
  • Conduct in-depth circuit analysis using Spectre and Spice simulators.
  • Execute schematic level designs using the Cadence tool suite.
  • Develop Python scripts to parse data and automate design workflows.
  • Analyze designs for manufacturability and end-of-life requirements.
  • Transition high-speed IO architectures from NMZ to PAM4 technologies.

What we're looking for

  • High School Diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Experience in physical and electrical design of processor and ASIC elements.
  • Proficiency in VLSI systems, computer architectures, and digital system design.
  • Experience with RTL design using Verilog or VHDL.
  • Ability to perform schematic level design and circuit analysis using Cadence, Spectre, and Spice tools.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages including Python, Perl, and TCL.
  • Knowledge of high-speed interface terminology such as NMZ, PAM4, CTLE, DFE, and PLLs.
  • Experience with high-frequency processor or ASIC physical design is preferred.
