What you'll do

  • Develop, test, and provide customer support for hardware, firmware, and semiconductors.
  • Perform logic (RTL) design and verification for microprocessors and infrastructure components.
  • Execute physical design and analog/IO design for high-performance systems.
  • Conduct signal integrity and power integrity analysis for circuit designs.
  • Utilize electronic design automation tools to develop IBM products like zSystems and Power Systems.
  • Design and manufacture hardware products using VHDL, Verilog, or other hardware description languages.
  • Perform circuit simulation and electrical design using industry-standard tools.
  • Develop scripts and software solutions using Python, C/C++, or Java for hardware testing.

What we're looking for

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science is preferred.
  • Candidates should be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Preferred candidates have at least three months of experience designing or manufacturing hardware products.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, Java, or other object-oriented languages is preferred.
  • Knowledge of hardware description languages like VHDL or Verilog and circuit simulation tools like SPICE is preferred.
  • Experience with microprocessor/ASIC design, computer architecture, and various hardware architectures (FPGA, RISC-V, ARM) is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
