TL;DR · Engineering Program Manager, AI and Data Platforms

The Engineering Program Manager, AI and Data Platforms joins the AiDP team within the Information Systems and Technology group. This role focuses on building and shipping enterprise Generative AI and Data platforms for tens of thousands of employees. You will own end-to-end delivery, including scoping, roadmapping, and managing dependencies while defining evaluation criteria and quality signals for non-deterministic AI systems. Key responsibilities include tracking adoption, retention, and business impact while using AI agents and assistants to automate your own program operations like reporting and synthesis. The role requires proficiency in AI/ML concepts, including model deployment, RAG, agentic systems, and data pipelines. You must navigate the unique challenges of AI software, where launch readiness involves managing uncertainty and infinite use cases rather than simple pass/fail tests.

What you'll do

  • Own end-to-end delivery for AI and Data platform programs including scope, roadmap, dependencies, and risks.
  • Define evaluation and quality criteria for AI capabilities with engineering teams to track program health.
  • Maintain a single source of truth for program status and report progress to executive leadership.
  • Drive consensus across teams with competing priorities and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Instrument and track platform adoption, retention, and business impact to shape future roadmaps.
  • Use AI agents and assistants to automate personal program operations like reporting, triage, and synthesis.
  • Contribute to product definition by providing a user-centric perspective and challenging non-user-centric decisions.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of industry experience in an engineering, technical product, or technical program role.
  • 1+ years managing AI programs or projects across multiple teams toward a shared objective.
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools to automate analysis, drafting, prototyping, or building personal tools.
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Exposure to AI/ML or data platform programs including model deployment, evaluations, RAG, or agentic systems (preferred).
  • Working understanding of how AI systems differ from deterministic software regarding non-determinism and quality (preferred).
  • Comfort with ambiguity in a fast-moving, high-visibility environment (preferred).
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to communicate with both executives and engineers (preferred).
