Embedded FPGA Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and implement FPGA-based DSP systems using HDL, Vitis HLS, and modern toolchains.
• Develop and optimize DSP algorithms like filtering, detection, and modulation into high-throughput hardware blocks.
• Test, verify, and validate FPGA designs to ensure functional correctness under real-time constraints.
• Optimize designs for timing, area, power, and throughput using HLS directives and traditional workflows.
• Create reusable hardware IP blocks to enable scalable DSP pipelines and accelerate future development.
• Maintain technical documentation including design notes, block diagrams, interface definitions, and user guides.
• Identify new techniques and technologies to improve FPGA development efficiency and system performance.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience developing FPGA or SDR solutions.
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
• Proficiency in HDL (Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog) and Vitis HLS for FPGA design.
• Experience with Xilinx tools (Vivado, Vitis), Tcl scripting, and Linux/UNIX environments.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or MATLAB for modeling DSP algorithms.
• Knowledge of digital design fundamentals including streaming architectures, pipelining, and data-path timing.
• Ability to read hardware schematics and operate lab equipment like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
