JOB TITLE: Electrical Engineer, Amazon Leo Optical Inter-Satellite Link
The Electrical Engineer joins the Inter-Satellite Link Avionics team to support the Amazon Leo low Earth orbit satellite network. This role involves designing electrical functions including analog sensor signal conditioning, motor and actuator control, embedded digital electronics, and power regulation across spacecraft interfaces. Daily responsibilities include board design, component selection, layout review, board bring-up, system test, and root-cause analysis at the subsystem and system levels. The successful candidate will utilize ECAD tools for schematic capture and PCB layout, while performing bench design-verification testing using oscilloscopes. What we're looking for
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted as a refugee or granted asylum.
B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
M.S. or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
5+ years of experience in hardware development across multiple phases of the product life cycle.
Demonstrated technical depth in board-level electrical hardware design, including precision analog, embedded digital systems, high-speed interfaces, or power regulation.
Experience with PCB design, board bring-up, and debugging involving microprocessors, SoCs, FPGAs, memories, power supplies, ADCs, DACs, and sensors.
Experience with schematic capture and PCB-layout ECAD tools.
