What you'll do

Design and optimize reliable flight software for optical inter-satellite links on embedded Linux and RTOS.
Architect fault-tolerant, redundant software systems for autonomous health monitoring and recovery in orbit.
Build and maintain test infrastructure including hardware-in-the-loop testbeds and automated regression suites.
Manage the full software lifecycle from requirements decomposition and architecture to deployment and maintenance.
Drive continuous improvement of over-the-air (OTA) update processes for satellite constellations.
Lead board bring-up and integration by developing and debugging low-level BSP components and peripheral connectivity.

What we're looking for

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee.
5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
5+ years of experience with the Linux networking stack and/or embedded Linux, Yocto, and/or RTOS.
Experience developing embedded software for space systems, including optical communication systems or laser terminals (preferred).
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates.
