As the Director of Operations, Critical Infrastructure, you will lead site-level teams to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of mission-critical electrical, mechanical, and building infrastructure systems supporting OCI data center campuses. You will manage day-to-day execution, risk management, maintenance performance, and incident response while overseeing technical teams across facilities operations. Your role involves enforcing MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs for load transfers and restoration, while managing vendor relationships and ensuring high availability of power generation, UPS, switchgear, and cooling systems. You will utilize core competencies in operational leadership, infrastructure maintenance governance, and cross-functional coordination with Engineering and Construction teams to ensure operability in live environments. The role addresses the technical challenge of maintaining uptime for critical infrastructure by integrating electrical and mechanical functions into a cohesive, high-availability operating model within a complex data center environment.
Manage site and regional teams responsible for critical electrical, mechanical, and building infrastructure systems.
Oversee operational readiness, maintenance execution, and incident response performance across assigned data center campuses.
Enforce strict adherence to MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs for maintenance, load transfers, and emergency conditions.
Serve as the primary escalation point for major incidents to ensure rapid response and root cause analysis.
Track operational KPIs related to system availability, reliability, safety, and maintenance effectiveness.
Manage vendor performance and oversight for OEMs, service contractors, and infrastructure operating agreements.
Partner with Engineering and Construction teams to ensure new capacity meets maintainability and operability standards.
Drive continuous improvement across work control, readiness processes, and team operational rhythms.
What we're looking for
Must have 10+ years of experience in mission-critical operations, power generation, utilities, or industrial operations with leadership responsibility.
Must possess a strong understanding of critical MEP systems and data center operations in live environments.
Must demonstrate experience managing operational risk and executing in MOP-driven environments.
Must have proven ability to lead managers, technical teams, and vendor-supported operations in 24/7 critical environments.
Must have experience with maintenance governance, incident response, and operational readiness at site or regional scale.
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities, Operations, or a related field is preferred (equivalent experience also valued).
PE license or equivalent certification is preferred.
Experience in hyperscale data centers, utility-scale power systems, or similar high-availability environments is strongly preferred.
