Director, Head of AI Enablement & Automation, HR leads a high-performing team to shape the future of the Hire-to-Retire digital experience. This role is responsible for defining and executing the enterprise HR AI and automation strategy to create intuitive, personalized, and efficient workforce experiences. The successful candidate will identify, evaluate, and implement AI-driven capabilities while establishing governance frameworks for ethical and secure usage. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing product roadmaps, driving cross-functional transformation initiatives, and monitoring industry trends to enhance HR service delivery. Key technologies and skills include generative AI, conversational AI, machine learning, robotic process automation, workflow orchestration, and platforms like Workday, ServiceNow, or Microsoft Copilot. The role addresses the challenge of simplifying complex human resources processes and reducing manual effort through advanced analytics, business process design, and innovative technology-enabled solutions for a global workforce.
Define and execute the enterprise HR AI enablement and automation strategy aligned with business priorities.
Lead a team to identify, evaluate, and implement AI-driven capabilities across the Hire-to-Retire lifecycle.
Partner with IT and HR leaders to design employee-centric digital experiences that increase productivity and engagement.
Establish a roadmap for AI-enabled workforce experiences based on business value and organizational readiness.
Drive adoption of technologies including generative AI, conversational AI, and machine learning within HR services.
Develop governance frameworks to ensure the ethical, compliant, and secure use of AI in HR processes.
Monitor industry trends and best practices to evolve the organization's HR digital capabilities.
Define and track key performance indicators to measure program success and business impact.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree, MBA, or advanced degree in a relevant discipline preferred.
Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience leading digital transformation, HR technology, automation, product management, or workforce experience initiatives.
Demonstrated experience developing and executing enterprise AI, automation, or digital transformation strategies.
Experience deploying generative AI, conversational AI, machine learning, intelligent automation, robotic process automation (RPA), or related technologies.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing executive stakeholders in a large, complex, global organization.
Strong understanding of HR processes and employee lifecycle journeys, including Hire-to-Retire experiences.
Knowledge of HR service delivery models, platforms like Workday or ServiceNow, and establishing AI governance frameworks (preferred).
Professional certifications in product management, agile, HR technology, AI, data, or digital transformation disciplines (preferred).
