Dev Harnessing Technician II

What you'll do

• Interpret wiring diagrams and engineering drawings to assemble electrical harnesses accurately.
• Fabricate harnesses using crimping, soldering, lacing, shielding, and connector assembly techniques per aerospace standards.
• Perform and document electrical tests including continuity, insulation resistance, and hipot testing.
• Inspect harness workmanship for quality and compliance with technical specifications.
• Maintain build records, inspection logs, and traveler documentation in accordance with industry requirements.
• Identify ambiguities in work instructions and provide feedback to engineers to improve processes.
• Operate and maintain fabrication tools, test equipment, and measuring devices.
• Follow ESD, FOD, and cleanroom protocols while maintaining lab organization and 6S standards.

What we're looking for

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience building, maintaining, or repairing aerospace, defense, or high-reliability wire harnesses.
• Proficiency with crimping tools, soldering equipment, heat-shrink applications, and harness lacing/taping.
• Working knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 and/or MIL-SPEC harness requirements.
• Experience with hipot testers, milliohm meters, and other harness test equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Ability to lift 40–50 lbs, stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, and handle ESD-sensitive components.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
• IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-A-610, or J-STD-001 certification (preferred).
• Prior experience in satellite, spacecraft, or other aerospace harness assembly (preferred).
• Experience providing process feedback to engineering on harness design, tooling, or fixturing (preferred).
• Knowledge of ESD and FOD prevention best practices in a cleanroom or controlled environment (preferred).
