Software Dev Engineer II, Amazon Leo joins the Developer Experience organization to build a unified platform for satellite operations and infrastructure. Manage Over-The-Air (OTA) software updates for millions of Customer Terminals across multiple hardware variants.
Build and maintain systems to ensure safe, reliable, and rapid firmware updates at massive scale.
Develop a self-service platform providing real-time root cause attribution and triaging in production.
Implement automated narrative generation and conversational analytics agents for system monitoring.
Design observability and anomaly detection systems for large-scale device fleets.
Create staged and progressive rollout strategies with automated release safety mechanisms.
Automate the infrastructure required to keep the satellite ground segment current and healthy.
What we're looking for
Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
3+ years of full software development life cycle experience including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations (preferred).
