Systems Development Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop automated data retrieval tools to obtain external information for situational awareness and system configuration.
• Implement data repositories to track system data, constraints, and configurations.
• Create deployment mechanisms using automated machine-to-machine interfaces for regulatory constraints following CI/CD best practices.
• Support the development of internal software tools for satellite communications modeling, simulation, and geospatial visualizations.
• Develop operational monitoring tools to ingest logs and poll status for system behavior validation and issue reporting.
• Build data lake pipelines using AWS services to support regulatory and policy advocacy strategies.

What we're looking for

• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or granted asylum.
• 2+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems for reliability and scaling.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
• Experience automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
• Experience with Linux/Unix and CI/CD pipeline build processes.
• Experience building services using AWS products.
• Experience with geospatial tooling, RF communications, orbital mechanics, or satellite spectrum regulatory frameworks (preferred).
• Export control laws and regulations, candidates.
