System Development Engineer

What you'll do

• Support the delivery of software updates to satellites and ground stations.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix production software issues for mission-critical systems.
• Develop tools, automation scripts, and monitoring solutions to improve operational efficiency.
• Perform software maintenance and configuration management across multiple products and services.
• Implement fixes for internally developed code using Python or Go.
• Root cause and triage technical challenges during manufacturing, in ground labs, and in orbit.
• Ensure the quality of code delivered for high-performing over-the-air (OTA) updates.
• Streamline operational processes to improve system readiness and performance.

What we're looking for

• Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
• At least 2 years of systems development experience is required.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
• Experience working with Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure.
• At least 1 year of distributed systems experience is preferred.
