Data Center Technician

What you'll do

• Perform hardware maintenance and troubleshooting on servers and critical infrastructure components.
• Validate cabling, network builds, and connectivity to ensure error-free device communication.
• Manage the ticketing system by assigning work, documenting resolutions, and meeting service level agreements.
• Mentor junior technicians on best practices for power distribution, hardware replacement, and network configurations.
• Ensure all site activities comply with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
• Act as a technical liaison to identify and resolve risks regarding system reliability and availability.
• Coordinate with vendors and project teams to test electrical and mechanical systems.
• Identify recurring trends and develop new processes to improve operational efficiency.

What we're looking for

• Knowledge of server, storage, and network hardware systems and components.
• IT Hardware Concepts knowledge including RAID, Linux/Unix, and CLI.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb a 9 ft ladder.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and work 10-12 hour shifts on rotating schedules.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Experience with mainstream ticketing systems (preferred).
• 2-year or 4-year degree or relevant work experience (preferred).
• 2 years of Data Center experience, 1 year of development, and 1 year of structured cabling/cooling/electrical knowledge (preferred).
