You will perform node and cluster-level software installation and validation for AI and Machine Learning projects while building datacenter GPU dockers and containers for customer testing. Your daily responsibilities include resolving technical issues, providing guidance on server graphics and compute projects, qualifying new software functionality, and collaborating with development teams to resolve hardware and software issues throughout the product lifecycle. You will utilize Linux, virtual environments like VMWare or KVM, and software stacks such as ROCm or CUDA. The role focuses on solving complex problems in high-performance computing, specifically involving large-scale cluster deployment within hyperscale datacenters and validating multimode AI clusters using tools like AGFHC and RCCL RDMA.

What you'll do

  • Perform node and cluster-level software installation and validation for GPU/compute AI and Machine Learning projects.
  • Resolve technical issues for customers utilizing AMD Instinct products.
  • Provide technical guidance to customers regarding server graphics and compute projects for AI workloads.
  • Build datacenter GPU dockers and containers for customer testing and deployment.
  • Qualify and assess new software functionality to ensure compatibility with customer requirements.
  • Identify and resolve hardware/software technical issues throughout the product lifecycle from bring-up to end-of-life.
  • Communicate, report, and escalate incidents to AMD management following established procedures.
  • Track project schedules and action items while providing status updates to customers and management.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Technical certifications in relevant software systems are highly desirable.
  • Experience in datacenter customer support and large-scale cluster deployment within hyperscale datacenters.
  • Expertise in server architecture, network topologies, and graphics software/hardware subsystems.
  • Proficiency in Linux installation, setup, usage, and debugging.
  • Experience with virtual environments such as VMWare, Citrix, KVM, or Microsoft.
  • Experience with datacenter GPU software stacks like AMD ROCm or Nvidia CUDA.
  • Knowledge of AI/Machine Learning workloads, frameworks, models, and multi-mode cluster validation.
