Data Center Project Manager, Mechanical joins the Places team within the Global Data Center Design and Construction organization to manage the full lifecycle of mechanical systems for mission-critical data center construction projects. The role solves the challenge of delivering complex, high-availability cooling and power infrastructure safely and on schedule.

What you'll do

Manage the full mechanical equipment lifecycle from bid leveling and procurement through just-in-time delivery.
Oversee construction activities as an owner's representative, managing subcontractors and ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets.
Review technical submittals for major mechanical equipment and BMS controls systems to ensure alignment with design intent.
Manage the RFI process, conduct site visits, and witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for critical infrastructure.
Oversee Test and Balance (TAB) activities to ensure air and hydronic systems meet ASHRAE and other industry standards.
Execute Commissioning (Cx) plans and manage deficiency logs for mechanical and BMS controls systems.
Ensure all project documentation, including as-built drawings and O&M manuals, is complete for final facility acceptance.
Coordinate with design partners and internal teams to ensure integrated project designs meet safety and performance standards.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in hyperscale or large-scale colocation data center construction and commissioning.
Experience managing the mechanical equipment procurement lifecycle including bid leveling, PO issuance, and vendor milestone management.
Hands-on experience developing and executing Commissioning (Cx) Plans for mechanical and BMS controls systems.
Experience overseeing Test and Balance (TAB) activities in accordance with ASHRAE 111, AABC, or NEBB standards.
Working knowledge of BMS controls systems including sequence of operations, VFD configurations, and PID tuning.
Working knowledge of data center cooling infrastructure such as chilled water systems, CRAHs, CRACs, and hydronic systems.
Ability to read construction documents including mechanical plans, P&IDs, and BMS control schematics.
