Data Center Mechanical Design Engineer, Infrastructure Services

What you'll do

• Design and improve evaluation environments, test fixtures, and systems for new technologies.
• Define and document project requirements, risks, effort, and schedules.
• Perform transportation and vibration analysis on equipment and systems.
• Create and manipulate 3D CAD models for use in CFD and FEA simulations.
• Correlate lab data with model results to share findings with cross-functional teams.
• Conduct design validation of devices and systems against specific requirements.
• Perform root cause failure analysis and provide troubleshooting support for mechanical and electrical issues.
• Review procedures and contribute to the global body of knowledge for continuous improvement.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent job-related experience.
• 5+ years of experience with Mechanical 2D and/or 3D modeling tools.
• 5+ years of experience with analysis methods such as CFD, FEA, stress, strain, vibration, thermal, fluid flow, or failure analysis.
• 5+ years of experience in product design, validation, or evaluation (preferred).
• Hands-on experience working in a dynamic lab environment (preferred).
• Proven record of excellent problem solving skills and ability to explain complex systems clearly (preferred).
• Experience with root cause failure analysis, thermal design, and data center infrastructure cooling solutions (preferred).
• Proficiency in Excel or Numbers and understanding of electrical engineering (preferred).
