Data Center Facility Thermal Design Engineer

What you'll do

• Architect and optimize data center cooling systems including liquid cooling, airflow management, and thermal redundancy strategies.
• Lead the end-to-end design, construction consultation, and operational readiness of mission-critical data center infrastructure.
• Manage coordination between electrical, mechanical, and networking contractors to ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.
• Develop technical specifications for rack installation, power provisioning, structured cabling, and equipment lifecycle management.
• Create and maintain critical documentation including MOPs, SOPs, EOPs, and detailed facility drawings.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions for issues identified during cluster deployments or operations.
• Write functional specifications, design-verification plans, and procedures to validate infrastructure performance.
• Establish and refine facility design standards for high-density compute and AI cluster builds.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Advanced degrees in relevant disciplines are beneficial for complex facility design and infrastructure planning.
• Expertise in electrical and mechanical systems including power, cooling, and networking.
• Experience with data center cooling systems such as CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, and liquid cooling.
• Proficiency in commissioning, construction coordination, and vendor management.
• Ability to develop technical documentation including MOPs, SOPs, EOPs, and facility drawings.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE, Uptime Institute, and applicable electrical/mechanical codes.
• Experience with high-density compute and AI cluster deployments.
