Data Center Engineer, Senior joins the Global Data Center Operations team to manage existing and new data centers in Atlanta. This role is responsible for day-to-day operations, including site management, moves, adds, changes, and ensuring uptime, performance, and capacity. The engineer will rack and install servers, storage, and networking gear while performing initial configurations via Console or ILO. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware issues, managing local vendors for procurement and remediation, overseeing inventory, and planning for co-location growth. Technical requirements include experience with 10/40/100g patching, fiber troubleshooting using VFL testing, and proficiency in Windows and OSX environments. The role addresses the critical challenge of maintaining infrastructure reliability through structured cabling, power and cooling best practices, and proactive site management to support large-scale production deployments and hardware lifecycle management.
