Data Center Development Cost Management

What you'll do

• Manage end-to-end cost leadership for gigascale data center construction programs and infrastructure projects.
• Establish standardized cost governance structures including WBS, cost codes, and executive reporting dashboards.
• Develop and maintain project estimates, budgets, cash flow, and long-range forecasts aligned with design maturity.
• Implement robust change control processes to manage scope impacts, evaluate claims, and negotiate contract terms.
• Manage contingencies and allowances using risk-based approaches to ensure traceable cost tracking.
• Integrate AI and advanced analytics to create automated dashboards for variance detection and performance insights.
• Support procurement strategies through cost modeling, bid analysis, and material/labor index tracking.
• Mentor junior staff and standardize playbooks to ensure scalable cost management across multiple sites.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 12+ years of progressive experience in cost management and cost controls for large capital projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in estimating, forecasting, change control, and contract/commercial evaluation.
• Strong working knowledge of construction means, methods, cost drivers, productivity, and sequencing.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with cost systems and project controls tools like EcoSys, Unifier, or Primavera P6.
• Ability to build executive-ready reporting and manage disciplined monthly performance routines.
• Experience on hyperscale/gigascale programs such as data centers or large infrastructure (preferred).
• Certifications such as CCP, MRICS, PMP, or equivalent are preferred.
