As a Senior Data Center Facilities Development Manager I – QA/QC within the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure team, you will lead quality assurance and control for large-scale data center construction projects. You will manage field-level and program-level oversight to ensure that all construction work, materials, systems, and documentation meet rigorous technical standards and operational requirements. Your daily responsibilities include conducting field inspections of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems; managing non-conformance reports; and driving contractor accountability for quality performance. You will utilize expertise in inspection test plans, method statements, and commissioning readiness to ensure seamless transitions from construction to operations. The role requires proficiency in reviewing technical drawings, performing root cause analysis, and coordinating with cross-functional teams. This position addresses the critical challenge of delivering high-quality mission-critical infrastructure for global cloud and AI systems.
Lead QA/QC oversight for data center construction to ensure compliance with technical specifications, codes, and OCI standards.
Conduct field inspections of mechanical, electrical, structural, and other critical systems to verify installation quality.
Manage non-conformance reports by performing root cause analysis and driving corrective actions for recurring issues.
Hold general contractors and vendors accountable for performance metrics, material requirements, and project documentation.
Verify that all construction work is documented and ready for commissioning and operational turnover.
Review design packages and drawings to identify potential quality risks or constructability concerns early in the process.
Provide regular QA/QC status reports and data-driven updates to project leadership and stakeholders.
What we're looking for
Must have 6 to 10+ years of experience in construction QA/QC, facilities development, or mission-critical infrastructure projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Proficiency in reviewing technical documents including drawings, specifications, submittals, and inspection test plans.
Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and structural systems in complex facilities.
Experience managing contractor and vendor quality performance on active construction sites.
Ability to identify quality risks, installation defects, and documentation gaps before commissioning or operations.
Strong communication skills for interacting with field teams, engineers, contractors, and senior stakeholders.
Professional certifications such as CQM, CQE, PMP, LEED, OSHA, RCDD, BICSI, ASQ, or related credentials (preferred).
