As a Critical Environment Program Manager within the Cloud Operations & Innovation team, you will manage the day-to-day operations and maintenance of critical mechanical and electrical equipment in a datacenter environment. You will oversee preventative and corrective maintenance for infrastructure components like UPS, generators, and AHUs while ensuring all fire and life safety systems operate at peak efficiency. Your role involves managing small-to-medium projects, identifying single points of failure, driving cost and energy efficiency initiatives, and coordinating compliance audits. You will utilize CMMS tools to monitor performance, manage work orders for technicians, and provide recommendations on equipment design. The role requires expertise in physical IT infrastructure, including servers, SANs, networking, and structured cabling. Key technical competencies include experience with Electrical Power Monitoring Systems, Branch Circuit Monitoring, and Building Automation Systems.
Oversee daily operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in the datacenter.
Manage, plan, and organize preventative and corrective work orders using CMMS tools.
Ensure all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems operate at peak efficiency.
Act as an escalation point for facilities issues and provide technical guidance to technicians.
Manage small-to-medium projects from initial conception through completion.
Monitor and report on critical infrastructure KPIs, organizational policies, and operational standards.
Identify single points of failure and drive cost/energy efficiency initiatives.
Coordinate and supervise compliance audits and remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
What we're looking for
High School Qualification or equivalent and 3+ years of experience supporting IT equipment, related technology, or large-scale server and network deployment projects.
2+ years of experience in Critical Environment infrastructures (e.g., UPS, Generator, AHU) or physical IT infrastructures (e.g., Servers, SANs, Networking).
Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check.
Bachelor's or Technical College Degree in a relevant field and 8+ years of experience in critical environment or physical IT infrastructure (preferred).
High School Qualification or equivalent and 10+ years of experience in critical environment or physical IT infrastructure (preferred).
Relevant certifications such as APICS, CompTIA, Microsoft, Network, CCNA, ITIL v3 Foundation, or MOF (preferred).
3+ years of experience in Critical Environment or physical IT infrastructures (preferred).
6+ months of experience with building cooling, electrical, mechanical, life safety systems, EPMS, BCM, and BAS (preferred).
3+ years of experience with project management or relevant certification/training (preferred).
3+ years of experience working on large scale projects (preferred).
