The Connected Workforce PMO will serve as the strategic leader for the Connected Workforce initiative within the Varian Business Unit. This role drives the vision, roadmap, governance, deployment, and continuous improvement of Connected Workforce solutions across the enterprise. The program manager will partner with business leaders, the Automation Technology Group, IT, and external partners to accelerate digital transformation, standardize business processes, and maximize return on technology investments. Key responsibilities include owning the portfolio, translating business requirements into scalable technology solutions, and leading organizational change management. The role requires expertise in digital manufacturing, operational technology, and enterprise software. Preferred technical skills include experience with Tulip, SAP, RFID, Machine Vision, Power BI, Tableau, IoT, and automation platforms, alongside certifications like PMP, Agile/Scrum, Lean Six Sigma, or Prosci.
Own the Connected Workforce portfolio, roadmap, governance framework, and prioritization process.
Translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions and implementation roadmaps.
Lead medium-to-large scale programs ensuring alignment to scope, schedule, budget, and strategic objectives.
Coordinate development and deployment activities with IT, vendors, and business stakeholders.
Drive User Acceptance Testing, deployment readiness, training, and adoption activities.
Develop executive communications, KPI dashboards, and value realization reporting.
Lead organizational change management efforts including stakeholder engagement and communication planning.
Manage software licensing, hardware planning, and vendor engagement.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
5–7+ years of project, program, or digital transformation leadership experience.
Experience leading enterprise software, manufacturing systems, automation, operational technology, or Connected Workforce initiatives.
Demonstrated success managing cross-functional programs and executive stakeholders.
Experience developing business cases, strategic roadmaps, KPI frameworks, and ROI analyses.
Experience collaborating with external vendors and technology partners.
Experience with Tulip, SAP, RFID, Machine Vision, Power BI, Tableau, IoT, automation platforms, or similar technologies (preferred).
PMP, PgMP, Agile/Scrum, Lean Six Sigma, and/or Prosci certification (preferred).
