What you'll do

  • Migrate legacy Spark/Scala Hadoop jobs to PySpark on Azure Databricks.
  • Build and maintain event-driven architectures using Kafka and Redis for real-time data integration.
  • Develop near real-time big data pipelines using Spark, Hive, and Impala.
  • Create and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Harness and Jenkins.
  • Perform root cause analysis and provide SME support during major incidents to resolve system issues.
  • Tune backend queries and monitor production systems to improve application performance.

What we're looking for

  • 10+ years of IT/Software Development experience.
  • Experience in multi-platform enterprise application architecture, development, and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and n-tier application design.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, React JS, and front-end technologies like HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Experience with Big Data technologies including Spark, Scala, Hadoop, Hive, and Kafka.
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud, Databricks, AKS, and various web servers like WebSphere or Tomcat.
  • Knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and database concepts.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines (Harness, Jenkins), and RESTful/SOAP APIs.
