What you'll do

Build internal tools and automate processes to streamline daily operations and reduce mean time to resolve incidents.
Create and monitor system alert dashboards while reviewing critical event and system logs.
Perform server administration, performance troubleshooting, and manage customer instances for production databases.
Provide technical feedback, coaching, and mentorship to engineers to foster professional growth and team performance.
Guide team members through project deliverables to ensure high-quality outcomes and meet established timelines.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams like Product and R&D to align on user experience and resolve pain points.
Participate in a weekly on-call rotation to handle short-term customer incidents and maintain uptime guarantees.
Develop programs and scripts to solve both immediate system problems and long-term strategic objectives.

What we're looking for

Must have experience in leadership roles with small to mid-sized engineering teams in rapid-growth environments.
Experience as a DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Operations engineer is required.
Expertise in Linux system administration and networking technologies is required.
Knowledge of database and distributed system operations and concepts is required.
Familiarity with Amazon Web Services and other cloud platforms like GCP or Azure is required.
Ability to write programs/scripts using at least two of the following: Java, Go, Python, or TypeScript.
Must possess a CS/CE degree or equivalent experience.
Experience in monitoring, system performance data collection, analysis, and reporting is required.
