Chief Engineer, Data Centers

What you'll do

• Manage a team of data center engineers including performance management, training, and hiring.
• Ensure 100% uptime by operating and maintaining critical electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Oversee the creation of Method of Procedure (MOP) documents and training curricula for site teams.
• Coordinate with planners to execute all scheduled preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.
• Act as the first point of contact for service-impacting events and lead root cause analysis investigations.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support for mechanical plant issues and emergency response.
• Perform facility inspections and due diligence to ensure optimal client occupancy and operations.
• Manage work orders and documentation using the Corrigo CMMS platform.

What we're looking for

• Must have 4+ years of technical experience in building engineering with a background in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and production equipment.
• Must have experience working in data centers or raised floor environments.
• Must possess a Universal EPA 608 Certification.
• Must have 2 years of trades school or a documented apprenticeship in relevant craft skills.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Must possess required licenses as mandated by the local authority having jurisdiction.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 80 lbs and working at heights.
• Must have proficiency in computer applications including Word, Excel, and Google Suite.
