The BIM Systems Engineer, Data Center Operations joins the Data Center Engineering team to serve as a subject matter expert for the engineering function. This role involves overseeing owner quality reviews of CAD drawings and BIM models for large, complex projects while leading documentation-related process development and re-engineering. The engineer will develop and maintain a BIM technologies roadmap, standardize file structures, and manage digital assets to ensure they reflect current building conditions. Key responsibilities include consolidating design records and construction as-built information into administrative models for facilities teams. Required skills include experience in 3D modeling, BIM administration, and tool automation. Technical proficiencies include AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, reality capture, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Civil3D, ArcGIS, Dynamo, Python, and advanced spreadsheet data manipulation across Mac, Linux, and Windows systems.
Serve as the subject matter expert for Data Center Engineering BIM and CAD systems.
Oversee owner quality reviews of CAD drawings and BIM models for large, complex projects.
Develop and re-engineer processes for documentation management and technical workflows.
Standardize documentation, file structures, and types to ensure consistency across all projects.
Consolidate design records and construction as-built information into accurate administrative models.
Provide quality-reviewed BIM deliverables to facilities teams for operational use.
Maintain digital assets to ensure they reflect the current condition of building assets.
Research and implement industry-leading BIM technologies and automation tools.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering, Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in building-related 3D modeling for large, complex, MEP intensive projects.
5+ years of experience in BIM administration and tool automation.
Proficiency with drafting (AutoCAD) and modeling applications including Revit, Navisworks, and reality capture.
Detailed knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud.
Experience with scripting and visual programming automation tools such as Dynamo and Python.
Advanced spreadsheet or database skills for data manipulation, project tracking, and analysis.
