The BIM Systems Engineer, Data Center Operations joins the Data Center Engineering team to serve as a subject matter expert for managing CAD, BIM, and engineering documentation systems. The ideal candidate possesses expertise in 3D modeling for MEP-intensive projects and experience with tool automation. Required skills include proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, reality capture, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Civil3D, and ArcGIS. Additionally, the role utilizes Dynamo, Python, and advanced database skills to manage data while supporting infrastructure systems that provide compute, storage, and networking services.
Serve as the subject matter expert for Data Center Engineering BIM and CAD systems.
Oversee owner quality reviews of CAD drawings and BIM models for large, complex projects.
Lead the development and re-engineering of documentation-related processes.
Develop and maintain a roadmap for BIM technologies.
Standardize documentation, file structures, and types to ensure consistency across all projects.
Consolidate design records and as-built information into accurate administrative models.
Provide quality-reviewed BIM deliverables to facilities teams for operational use.
Manage the maintenance of digital assets to reflect current building conditions.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering, Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in building-related 3D modeling for large, complex, MEP intensive projects.
5+ years of experience in BIM administration and tool automation.
Proficiency with drafting (AutoCAD) and modeling (Revit, Navisworks, and reality capture) applications.
Experience with scripting and/or visual programming automation tools like Dynamo and Python.
Detailed knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud.
Advanced spreadsheet or database skills for data manipulation, project tracking, and analysis.
