As an AWS Software Engineer III-Full Stack/Java/Spring Boot, you will join the Payments Technology team within Commercial and Investment Banking. Working on the Healthcare Link software engineering team, you will design, develop, and troubleshoot complex software components to ensure secure, stable, and scalable technology products. Your daily responsibilities include writing high-quality code, producing architecture artifacts, and analyzing large datasets to drive system improvements. You will utilize Java, Groovy, Python, Spring Boot, Oracle, and Kafka within a microservices architecture. The role requires expertise in CI/CD, application resiliency, and security, alongside hands-on experience with AWS cloud, Docker, and Kubernetes. Additionally, you will leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding tools for refactoring and testing while ensuring responsible AI use and adherence to secure coding standards.

What you'll do

Design, develop, and troubleshoot software components for complex technical products and systems.
Write secure, high-quality code using Java, Groovy, or Python with Spring Boot frameworks.
Produce architecture and design artifacts while ensuring software code meets specific design constraints.
Use enterprise-authorized AI coding tools to generate, refactor, and test code while validating outputs for security.
Analyze large datasets to develop visualizations and reports for continuous software system improvement.
Identify hidden patterns in data to improve coding hygiene and overall system architecture.
Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge to implement automation and improve development value.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code using Java Spring/Spring Boot in Microservices applications.
Solid understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
Experience working with Oracle databases and Kafka messaging frameworks.
Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools to generate, refactor, and validate code.
Understanding of responsible AI use, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and security expectations.
Demonstrated knowledge of technical processes including AWS cloud, Docker, K8s, AI, or machine learning.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills (preferred).
Familiarity with the Healthcare domain (preferred).
Exposure to cloud technologies (preferred).
