As a Software Engineer III within the Consumer and Community Banking/Insurance Tech team, you will join an agile team to design and deliver secure, stable, and scalable technology products. You are responsible for executing software solutions, developing high-quality production code, maintaining algorithms, and creating architecture and design artifacts for complex applications. Your daily work involves troubleshooting technical problems, analyzing large datasets to improve system architecture, and utilizing enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools for tasks like refactoring, unit test creation, and documentation. You must ensure all outputs meet security standards through peer review and automated testing. The role requires proficiency in Java, the Software Development Life Cycle, and agile methodologies including CI/CD. Additional preferred skills include experience with React front-end technologies and AWS cloud infrastructure to support various business functions and technical objectives.

What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.

Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools to create, troubleshoot, and refine outputs for security and performance.
Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
Familiarity with modern front-end technologies like React (preferred); exposure to cloud technologies like AWS (preferred).
