What you'll do

Analyze large, diverse data sets to develop visualizations and reporting for continuous system improvement.
Identify hidden patterns in data to improve coding hygiene and overall system architecture.
Apply tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to enhance automation value.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
5+ years of hands-on experience in the software industry specializing in Java, Python, AWS, and Terraform.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and setting validation standards.
Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
Strong exposure to security and infrastructure within cloud environments.
Practical cloud-native development experience specifically in AWS.
Demonstrated expertise in software design principles and complete end-to-end, hands-on delivery.
Experience in streaming systems such as Kafka.
Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security (preferred).
Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (preferred).
Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (preferred).
Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages (preferred).
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems (preferred).
Proficiency in Data Engineering concepts and related technologies such as AWS EMR and Databricks (preferred).
