As a Software Engineer III within Corporate Technology, you will join an agile team to design and deliver secure, stable, and scalable technology products. You are responsible for executing software solutions, troubleshooting complex problems, and producing architecture artifacts while ensuring all design constraints are met by the production code. Your daily work involves developing high-quality algorithms, managing large data sets for system improvements, and driving the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to enhance code quality and delivery speed. You will utilize a technical stack including Java, Python, AWS—specifically EKS, S3, Lambda, and EMR—alongside Terraform, Kafka, and Databricks. The role focuses on solving complex infrastructure and software challenges within the financial services industry while ensuring robust security, automated testing, and continuous delivery across various business functions.

What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
5+ years of hands-on experience in the software industry specializing in Java, Python, AWS (including EKS, S3, Lambda, EMR), and Terraform.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted development tools while ensuring outputs meet security and performance standards.
Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
Experience in cloud-native development specifically in AWS with a focus on designing and delivering robust solutions.
Demonstrated expertise in software design principles and end-to-end delivery of system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Experience in streaming systems such as Kafka and proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, financial services IT systems, and Data Engineering concepts (preferred).
