As an AVP Tech Lead - Software Development, you will provide technical leadership and hands-on development expertise for a team focused on enhancing the advisor workstation experience. You will specifically utilize AWS services including CloudFront, S3, API Gateway, Lambda, Fargate/EKS, and Aurora to build business-to-business customer experience portals. This position solves the challenge of modernizing existing systems to improve scalability, performance, and reliability within a complex financial advisor-mediated marketplace environment.

What you'll do

Provide technical leadership and hands-on development for AWS-based applications and services.
Guide development teams in implementing cloud-native architectures and service-oriented solutions.
Mentor developers on adopting new technologies, frameworks, and modern development practices.
Analyze existing systems to identify modernization opportunities and assess technical risks.
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications and service components.
Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide advanced debugging support.
Evaluate emerging technologies and propose improvements for scalability, performance, and reliability.
Communicate technical designs and delivery plans to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
7+ years of experience with Angular or a similar UI framework.
7+ years of experience with .NET development.
7+ years of experience with SQL Server.
5+ years of experience with AWS services including CloudFront, S3, API Gateway, Lambda, Fargate/EKS, and Aurora.
Experience working in Agile development environments (preferred).
Experience with DevOps practices and tooling (preferred).
Experience supporting business-to-business customer experience portals (preferred).
