As an Automation & Controls Technician, Infrastructure & Utility (Starship), you will join the Infrastructure Engineering team to design, build, operate, and maintain critical power, HVAC, utility, and fluids systems for Starship launch and production. What you'll do

Install, configure, operate, and maintain SCADA systems for infrastructure and utility systems at Starbase.
Configure and commission PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications in high-reliability production and launch environments.
Deploy and troubleshoot standardized automation for critical power and utility systems.
Update and troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic schematics using tools like EPLAN.
Assemble and wire industrial electrical control panels compliant with NFPA 79/NEC/UL 508A standards.
Create and update written and visual work instructions based on technical drawings.
Audit manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, safety improvements, and automation opportunities.
Support ground-up automation projects including commissioning, testing, and training.

What we're looking for

High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
1+ years of hands-on experience installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining automation and controls systems.
3+ years of professional experience in industrial automation or controls (preferred).
Relevant certifications such as ISA CCST, NICET, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, or Siemens (preferred).
Ability to read electrical one-line drawings, DC/AC schematics, and bills of materials (preferred).
Experience with HMI applications, SCADA systems, PLC programming, and industrial communication protocols (preferred).
Proficiency in CAD tools, scripting languages like Python or C#, and IT/OT network troubleshooting (preferred).
Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible for required export control authorizations.
