What you'll do

Design and develop automated solutions for Starship production lines and vehicle storage systems.
Architect, write, and debug structured PLC code for manufacturing applications.
Create electrical, pneumatic, and fluid schematics while designing compliant industrial control panels.
Develop robot systems to automate the manufacturing of various vehicle sub-components.
Implement safety systems for robots, gantries, conveyors, and other manufacturing equipment.
Design HMI screens to provide clear feedback for troubleshooting complex machinery.
Select and size electrical components such as servo motors and controllers.
Manage the physical construction of electrical cabinets, field wiring, and fluid plumbing.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
5+ years of experience in the design and commissioning of automation and controls systems for industrial applications.
Experience with PLC programming, specifically Siemens TIA Portal and Beckhoff TwinCat 3.
Proficiency in HMI/SCADA programming and creating aesthetically simple screens for complex machinery.
Expertise in electrical schematic CAD using EPlan and knowledge of NEC, NFPA 79, and UL508A codes.
Experience with robot systems (Kuka, ABB, Fanuc), simulation, and industrial sensors.
Proficiency in C#, .NET, Python, or SQL.
Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee to meet ITAR requirements.
