As an Associate Technical Services Engineer II, you will join the Technical Services team to provide expert guidance and solve complex problems for large customers within the MongoDB ecosystem. You will work daily on issues involving database architecture, performance, recovery, security, and best practices for running systems at scale. Additionally, you will advocate for customer needs to product teams and contribute to internal software development projects for benchmarking and diagnostics. The role requires expertise in distributed systems, network administration, or database design. Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting skills and experience with Linux, Windows, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Preferred technical proficiencies include Java, Python, Ruby, C, C++, C#, Javascript, Node.js, Go, PHP, or Perl. You will solve critical challenges related to managing large-scale production environments and cloud-based resources.
Resolve complex customer issues regarding architecture, performance, recovery, and security.
Provide expert advice on best practices for running MongoDB at scale.
Act as a technical resource for the entire MongoDB ecosystem including drivers, cloud, and infrastructure.
Advocate for customer needs by interfacing with product management and development teams.
Develop internal software tools for performance, benchmarking, and diagnostics.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in real-time under pressure.
Provide expert guidance on MongoDB Atlas and Cloud Manager services.
What we're looking for
Candidates must be based in Sao Paulo for the hybrid working model.
Experience in systems administration, distributed systems, or network administration is required.
Expertise in database architecture, data design, or performance tuning and benchmarking is preferred.
Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, C, C++, C#, Javascript, Node.js, Go, PHP, or Perl is a plus.
Experience administering large-scale production environments including hardware, operating systems (Linux/Windows), networks, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve problems in real-time under pressure are required.
Ability to rapidly learn new technical skills and work effectively within a team environment is required.
