What you'll do

Resolve complex customer issues regarding architecture, performance, recovery, and security.
Provide expert advice on best practices for running MongoDB at scale.
Act as a technical resource for the entire MongoDB ecosystem including Atlas and Cloud Manager.
Advocate for customer needs by interfacing with product management and development teams.
Develop internal software tools for performance, benchmarking, and diagnostics.
Troubleshoot and resolve real-time technical problems under pressure.

What we're looking for

Candidates must be based in Austin for a hybrid working model.
Experience in systems administration, distributed systems, or network administration is required.
Expertise in database architecture, data design, or performance tuning and benchmarking is required.
Experience with cloud-based resources such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is preferred.
Proficiency in at least one programming language like Java, Python, Ruby, C, C++, C#, Javascript, Node.js, Go, PHP, or Perl is a plus.
Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills are required to solve complex technical problems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Ability to learn new technical skills rapidly and work effectively in a team environment is required.
