Associate Manufacturing Systems Engineer, Automation Technician

What you'll do

• Perform advanced maintenance activities and monitor plant support equipment in compliance with cGMP and SOP standards.
• Use PLC and HMI software tools to diagnose and troubleshoot complex automated manufacturing systems.
• Provide technical engineering support for system optimization, upgrades, replacements, and modifications.
• Ensure utility, process, instrumentation, and cleaning systems meet all regulatory and FDA standards.
• Coordinate technical support across engineering, calibration, quality, and automation departments.
• Maintain an up-to-date working spare parts inventory for equipment and systems.
• Interpret and review P&IDs, architectural plans, and HVAC layouts to troubleshoot system failures.
• Provide technical support during regulatory agency inspections and inquiries.

What we're looking for

• A Bachelor’s degree or an Associate’s degree and 4 years of Technical Engineering experience are required.
• A high school diploma or GED and 6 years of Technical Engineering experience are acceptable alternatives.
• Preferred educational backgrounds include Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with PLC, HMI software tools, and SCADA/PLC control systems is preferred.
• Experience in the Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, or Biotechnology industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with Siemens and Rockwell HMIs, Cognex Vision Systems, and Sensor and Systech Serialization is preferred.
• Strong organizational, project management, problem solving, and technical writing skills are required.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and strong verbal/written communication skills are required.
