Applications Support Senior Analyst, Assistant Vice President

What you'll do

• Provide technical and business support to resolve application issues and improve system stability.
• Manage, maintain, and monitor production environments to ensure functionality meets service level expectations.
• Develop and maintain technical support documentation for internal systems and processes.
• Assess risk and impact of production issues and escalate them to management in a timely manner.
• Create and review application contingency plans to ensure continuous availability for users.
• Partner with development teams to prioritize bug fixes and identify necessary tooling requirements.
• Act as a subject matter expert and coach for junior analysts and stakeholders.
• Identify security vulnerabilities and risks while ensuring compliance with firm policies and regulations.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5-8 years of experience in an Application Support role.
• Experience installing, configuring, or supporting business applications.
• Proficiency with some programming languages and a willingness to learn new ones.
• Strong analytical skills for issue tracking, reporting, and using problem management tools.
• Advanced communication skills to explain technical issues to non-IT staff and stakeholders.
• Technical proficiency in SQL Server (SQL, Stored Procedures), RDBMS (Redis/Oracle), Unix/AIX/Windows, and MQ Series or Kafka.
• Knowledge of ITRS Geneos monitoring tool (preferred); knowledge of Cloud technologies (preferred).
