Applications Support Lead Analyst Vice President

What you'll do

• Manage end-to-end production support for mission-critical enterprise applications to ensure 24/7 availability and performance.
• Lead incident, problem, and change management processes including root cause analysis and long-term resolution planning.
• Drive the adoption of AI/ML and Generative AI technologies to automate support operations and improve anomaly detection.
• Manage and mentor a team of application support engineers while overseeing hiring and career development.
• Architect and implement advanced monitoring and observability solutions across distributed systems and hybrid cloud environments.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for critical production incidents, coordinating resolution across global teams.
• Ensure compliance with audit, regulatory, and security requirements to maintain firm standards and safety.
• Manage budgets, resource planning, and vendor relationships for the application support function.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is required; Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in Production Application Support roles managing enterprise-level, mission-critical applications.
• SME-level expertise in SQL (complex queries, performance tuning) and Unix/Linux administration with advanced Shell scripting.
• Expert knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as ITRS Geneos, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Splunk, or ELK Stack.
• Proven experience managing and mentoring teams in high-pressure, 24/7 production support environments.
• Extensive hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration platforms, specifically OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Deep technical expertise with relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Significant experience with messaging and event-streaming platforms such as Tibco EMS, IBM MQ, and Apache Kafka.
