Senior Analyst, Applications Support - Assistant Vice President

What you'll do

• Maintain and support application systems and operating environments to ensure stability, quality, and functionality.
• Perform start-of-day checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handovers for production systems.
• Conduct same-day risk reconciliations and assess the impact of production issues for timely escalation.
• Develop and maintain technical support documentation and application contingency plans.
• Formulate scope and objectives for complex application enhancements and problem resolutions.
• Participate in application releases, including development, testing, and production deployment.
• Identify risks, vulnerabilities, and security issues while communicating impacts to stakeholders.
• Act as a subject matter expert and coach to new or lower-level analysts.

What we're looking for

• 5-8 years of experience in an Application Support role.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience installing, configuring, or supporting business applications.
• Experience with some programming languages and the ability to learn new ones.
• Working knowledge of Cloudera distribution technologies including HDFS, Hive, Impala, Spark, YARN, Sentry, Oozie, and Kafka.
• Hands-on experience supporting applications built on Hadoop.
• Good SQL experience in any RDBMS.
• 5-8 years of experience with Linux.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft-based operating systems and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with problem management tools and issue tracking.
• Experience with Autosys, CONTROL-M, or other schedulers (preferred).
• Experience with ITRS Active Console or other monitoring tools (preferred).
• Proficiency in UNIX shell scripting, Python, or PERL (preferred).
