JOB TITLE: Application, Infrastructure and Service Management, Officer The Application, Infrastructure and Service Management, Officer joins the team to provide technical support and escalation services for complex functional and operational issues. This role involves diagnosing software problems, researching third-party issues, and providing training while collaborating with engineering and QA teams. Key responsibilities include managing special projects, creating environment sizing documents for Azure migrations, and participating in observability efforts. Candidates must possess experience with structured programming languages, development tools, and hands-on SQL experience with relational database theory. The role requires proficiency in MS SQL Server, Oracle, or Sybase, along with knowledge of the Trading Life Cycle and System Development Life Cycle. This position addresses technical challenges within Financial Services Investment Management and trading systems, specifically supporting the Charles River IMS platform.

What you'll do

Respond to technical assistance requests via Teams and email.
Diagnose software issues and recommend appropriate solutions to customers.
Identify and test workarounds for software deficiencies.
Research issues involving third-party software and internal information resources.
Maintain detailed logs of customer interactions and prepare resolution reports.
Deliver escalation services for complex technical, functional, and operational issues.
Provide feedback to Product Engineering on significant operational issues and non-functional requirements.
Create environment sizing and configuration documents for customer migrations to Azure.

What we're looking for

Experience with one or more structured programming languages and development tools.
Strong hands-on SQL experience and knowledge of relational database theory.
Experience in MS SQL Server, Oracle, and/or Sybase database configuration, operations, and basic administration.
Excellent customer service, technical troubleshooting, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proven ability to partner with internal departments to deliver superior customer service.
Experience with Financial Services Investment Management, Trading, or related systems (e.g. Charles River IMS) (preferred).
Experience with servers, operating systems, networks, scripting, XML, job scheduling, system monitoring, and disaster recovery (preferred).
Bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years experience in a technical support or analytical discipline (preferred).
