The Primary System Analyst, Charles River Development, Officer serves as a client-facing role responsible for managing production Charles River IMS systems within a Software as a Service model. You will provide expert remote management, administration, and support for hosted and non-hosted solutions, including user administration, parameter configuration, system performance tuning, and software patching. The role involves monitoring daily operations, facilitating version upgrades, and coordinating business continuity and disaster recovery efforts. To succeed, you must possess technical troubleshooting skills and experience with MS SQL Server, Oracle, or Sybase database configurations. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of servers, operating systems, networks, scripting, XML, and programming languages. This position addresses the critical need for stable investment management infrastructure by ensuring seamless service delivery and continuous process improvement for clients navigating complex financial services and trading environments.
Provide expert remote management, administration, and support for client production investment management systems.
Perform user administration, privilege management, and parameter configuration changes for clients.
Monitor daily operational processing and perform application and database performance tuning.
Execute software patches and version upgrades for the Charles River IMS platform.
Resolve technical problems and provide assistance with business continuity and disaster recovery.
Manage the transition of new clients into production operations.
Identify and implement third-party tools to automate and streamline service delivery.
What we're looking for
Minimum of 3+ years’ relevant industry experience.
Experience with Financial Services Investment Management, Trading, or related systems (e.g., Charles River IMS) is highly preferred.
Experience in MS SQL Server, Oracle, and/or Sybase database configuration, operations, and basic administration functions.
Bachelor's degree in a technical or analytical discipline such as Computer Science, IT, Financial Engineering, Engineering, Science, Economics, Maths, or Statistics (preferred).
Experience with servers, operating systems, networks, scripting, XML, programming languages, job scheduling software, system monitoring software, and disaster recovery/business continuity (preferred).
Excellent customer service, technical troubleshooting, and interpersonal communication skills.
