JOB TITLE: Primary System Analyst, Off
The Primary System Analyst, Off joins the Charles River Development team to manage production Charles River IMS systems for multiple clients within a Software as a Service model. This role involves providing expert remote management, administration, and support for hosted and non-hosted solutions. Key responsibilities include user administration, parameter configuration, performance tuning, and monitoring daily operational processing. You will also handle software patches, version upgrades, and disaster recovery assistance while transitioning new clients to production. Required technical skills include experience with MS SQL Server, Oracle, and Sybase database configuration. Preferred competencies include knowledge of servers, networks, scripting, XML, and programming languages. The role solves complex investment management problems by ensuring system availability and seamless service delivery for institutional asset and fund management clients.
Provide remote management, administration, and support for production Charles River IMS solutions.
Manage user privileges, parameter configuration changes, and system availability for clients.
Perform application and database performance tuning and monitor daily operational processing.
Install and manage Charles River IMS and database software patches and version upgrades.
Resolve technical problems and provide assistance with business continuity and disaster recovery.
Transition new clients into production operations in coordination with internal colleagues.
Implement and operate third-party tools to automate and streamline service delivery.
What we're looking for
Minimum of 3+ years’ relevant industry experience.
Experience with Financial Services Investment Management, Trading or related systems like Charles River IMS (preferred).
Experience in MS SQL Server, Oracle, and/or Sybase database configuration, operations, and basic administration functions.
Excellent customer service, technical troubleshooting, and interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Proven ability to partner with various internal departments to deliver superior customer service.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or analytical discipline such as Computer Science, IT, Financial Engineering, Engineering, Science, Economics, Maths, or Statistics (preferred).
Experience with servers, operating systems, networks, scripting, XML, programming languages, job scheduling software, system monitoring software, and disaster recovery/business continuity (preferred).
